Bariloche - Cerro Catedral Alta Patagonia

Cerro Catedral is located in the Nahuel Huapi National Park, surrounded by a unique landscape of lakes and mountains, and only a 19 Km paved route away from San Carlos de Bariloche (Río Negro), a city with lodging and food infrastructure at the most demanding international tourism level.
Bariloche sleeps about 18,000 people. Lodging arrangements range from the more economic levels to a dozen four and five star hotels; some of these servicies can be found at the mountain base.
Cerro Catedral receives thousands of visitors throughout the year who come to the mountain slope to take in the breathtaking landscapes and go hiking and mountan biking in the summer. In the winter months, Cerro Catedral becomes South America’s most highly developed winter sports center, given its 70km of ski slopes, 200 skiiable hectares and ski lifts, among which the six-seat chairlift with a polycarbonate super bubble is worth mentioning.

Ski and snowboard school
Alpine skiing and snowboarding lessons. Individual and group lessons for skiers of all levels available (beginners, advanced, competition). Schools have more than 200 professional experienced and international certified ski instructors. Lessons are conducted in all languages. The school has its own facilities at the base of the mountain.
Lessons for the blind or disabled (physically or mentally), with skilled professionals.Special packages for beginner and advanced skiers, which include complete equipment and lift tickets and other attractions such as the video clinic, end of course race an award ceremony.

Ski and snowboard school: for children aged 3 to 13.

Ski lifts in Cerro Catedral Alta Patagonia
This resort has 39 lifts: 1 cable car with 2 cabins, 1 cable car (gondola, quadruple), 1 Super bubble Express six-passenger chairlift, 1 Combi chairlift (bubble two-tourist and four-skiers lift), 1 quad chairlift, 2 triple chairlifts, 10 double chairlifts (1 bubble lift), 12 ski lifts (10 Poma, 2 T-Bar), 3 baby-lifts, 5 ski tows and 1 Ro-Cat. The total lift capacity is over 35,000 persons per hour.

Snow making
This integral snowmaking system covering an area of approximately 10 hectares is composed of over 50 state-of-the-art snow cannons imported from the USA. They work at night with the main purpose of assuring skiers of excellent snow and the possibility of skiing all the way down to the base of the mountain.

Piste bashers
Cerro Catedral has 8 Kässbohrer-type piste-bashers and a Leitner machine, with an operating capacity of 70 hectares per hour.
